In June 2005, the Grupo de Entidades Catalanas de la Familia (GEC), through the Catalan minister for social welfare and family affairs, Mrs. Anna Simó, recognised the company’s success in achieving a better work-family life balance, thanks to EL NIU (internal nursery).

European Environment Award, Spanish section 2003-04

On 15 April 2004, KH Lloreda received the European Environment Award, Spanish section for 2003-04 from H.R.H the Prince of Asturias for the product KH-7 Quitagrasas, in the Product for Sustainable Development category.

The European Environment Awards, which began in 1987 in order to commemorate the World Year of the Environment, are held every two years by the Directorate-General for the Environment of the European Commission. The purpose of these awards is to bestow public recognition on organisations that, in the course of their operations, have made a contribution to the principles of sustainable development. The Fundación Entorno has organised the Spanish section since 1997.
