Environmental commitment

We understand that since we are part of our environment, our business, like any industrial activity, has an impact on the environment.

For this reason we work with a firm commitment to minimize this impact, both from our industrial and economic activity and from our products.

With this will and commitment, we have been introducing measures to improve the environmental impact of our activities and especially improvements in our products.

So, in KH Lloreda:

• We do not spill wastewater. There are few cleaning companies that do not have a sewage treatment plant to treat wastewater. In KH Lloreda we reuse cleaning water from our packaging lines for future manufacturing, thus preventing the spilling of water with traces of our products.
• We have spare formats. Most of our products are used in spray format for greater ease of use and application, but most of them are sold in their spare format version. That allows the consumers reuse its sprayer. This format saves money but it also reduces the environmental pollution and minimizes the use of plastic materials.
• We do reuse. The containers arrive at our facilities in cardboard boxes. These boxes are returned to our suppliers to be reused and thus extend its useful life.
• We do recycle. We have a separate collection of our packaging waste for recycling and we have joined to the ECOEMBES separaty collection system. It is designed for selective collection and recovery of packaging waste for further treatment and recycling.
• We work with less quantity of packaging. Our Packaging Department works to reduce the amount of materials that make up our packaging. That is our way to optimize material consumption and minimize environmental impact.
• We design environmentally friendly products. Our R&D department works to develop products that meet the expectations of our consumers, but at the same time, without altering its effectiveness, are formulated with materials as sensitive as possible to the environment. As a result of this effort, KH Lloreda recieved in 2003 its first eco-award in Spain, for Quitagrasas KH-7, a grease remover, and later for six other products in many formats.
